A downloadable game

This has started out as a passion project, or I at least assume that means what I think it means. My partner LOVES Stardew Valley, and used to play it every. single. day. And her favorite aspect is the fishing.

I have minimal knowledge of coding (went to school for 2 years for Information Systems) and NO experience with making art, but here I am. I honestly don't know if this will ever get finished, but This is going to be here to mark progress regardless.

- It's going to have a lot of Stardew-like things. Youll obtain a plot of land through some means. Youre going to make friends with the denizens of Calaco Coast, where the higher your relationship is with them, they'll give you tips about how to unlock variants of fish. Instead of a farm, you'll eventually start a hatchery, raising fish to sell or eat.
- The plan is to have 50+ fish, with variants unlocked through various means.
- Some sort of minigame to catch the fish, and maybe some layered game as you go on (starts off with just tension, then maybe youll move back and forth, keeping the fish within a bar for "progress".)
- Fishing gear will adjust how you play. Maybe the rods will allow you to cast further, bobbers may give you information on what fish youre reeling in, baits will help determine what you catch.
- Plenty of things determine what you catch, including weather, Time of Day, water depth (this one is a struggle just to illustrate, let alone code RIGHT NOW), bait, and probably even location (pond, lake, river, top or bottom of a dam, ocean, etc)
- Instead of the "town center" there's going to be an Aquarium, where when you catch a trophy size of a fish for the first time, itll be put on display, and that is another way to mark your progress
- Youll have a journal that will keep record of your... records. As well as some interesting information about the real world fish.

I have no idea how long this project will take. I also have no idea if it'll be any good. But this is as close to a Dev Log as I'll probably get. Follow along, if you can make comments or suggestions.

Have a lovely day.
